Alert! Alert! Your Prezi Links are Broken!

If you use the online version of Prezi slide decks (like this one), please check to make sure the links are working. This weekend, the folks over at Prezi.com changed some coding that inadvertently caused almost all of my Prezi links to malfunction.

The Prezi links included in my TeachersPayTeachers.com products have now been updated, but you’ll need to re-download those items from your “My Purchases” area on the TpT website to receive the updated links.

As far as I can tell, the Prezi change affected links from all users, not just me. So if you use any cloud-based Prezis in your class or post links to your online classroom portal, such as Google Classroom or Edmodo, you’ll need to update those url addresses.

Spread the word to your teacher friends! My fear is that someone will rely on a Prezi that’s worked fine for years, only to discover the link is broken right as class begins. I know, I know, we should always double-check all media while lesson planning, but life happens.

Does this mean I hate Prezi?

Nope. Even though it took me 15 hours to update all of the Prezi-based items in my catalog, I’m not mad. Maybe it’s Tom’s voice from last week, but life is a struggle and this is the first time in six years of using the free platform that I’ve had any sort of trouble. It’s a bummer, but at least the fix was easy – tedious, but easy.

Okay, that’s my public service announcement. Check your Prezi links and tell others to do the same.

Teach on, everyone.
